The Kerem Tunnel is the first bike tunnel in Israel and was opened as a part of the Jerusalem Ring Path, a 42-kilometer cycle path that runs around the capital.

The tunnel links the paths between Nahal Refaim and Emek Motza. The tunnel's southern entrance can be found within Refaim Park below Ein Laban. The northern entrance is in Nahal Ein Kerem about half an hour away from the Kerem junction.

The 2.1-kilometer long tunnel was inaugurated on Thursday by Jerusalem and heritage minister Ze'ev Elkin as well as Mayor Moshe Lion. Avi Baleshnikov of Gihon Chairman of Gihon, and hundreds other cyclists were also in attendance.
